The cashier of the Ladowal toll plaza in Phillaur, Jalandhar, was robbed. Armed robbers approached the cashier's vehicle and stole Rs 23.50 lakh in cash. When the robbers encircled and halted the automobile, the driver and toll plaza cashier locked the car from inside, but the robbers broke its glasses.

Sudhakar, the cashier at the Ladowal toll plaza, was driving to Phillaur in a Bolero vehicle to deposit cash in the bank as usual on Monday. The robbers had previously set up an ambush. The robbers began chasing Sudhakar as soon as he left with his driver after grabbing the money. They encircled the vehicle of cashier Sudhakar after crossing the police naka at Phillaur. By positioning the vehicle in front of the cashier's vehicle, the robbers were able to halt it. Following that, four to five robbers exited the vehicle and looted Sudhakar. As soon as the police learned of the theft incidence, they immediately informed all of the check posts.

The police sprang into action as soon as they learned about the event and began recording footage from CCTV cameras placed at the scene of the robbery, the Ladowal toll plaza, and numerous other locations along the route. According to police officials, the robbers will be apprehended shortly thanks to the analysis of CCTV footage and the use of their network to track them down.

Anoop, the manager of Ladowal Toll Plaza, said that the incident happened on Monday about 11:20 am. The toll collector Sudhakar was in the car with his driver at the time of the event.

Because the 23rd of July being a Sunday and the banks were closed, Sudhakar departed for the bank on Monday morning with two days' worth of cash. The toll plaza personnel said that a strange vehicle was seen traveling from Phillaur to Ludhiana yesterday at 1:17 pm on CCTV tape, and it returned only 5.51 minutes later. The passenger in this car was in his or her middle years. The Bolero's driver has revealed the identity of the car. The cops are currently looking into the situation.
