Following the Diwali celebrations, now residents of Punjab are going to get an extended break as the state government has announced three consecutive holidays in the month of November. According to the holiday list released by the Punjab government, schools, colleges, and government offices will remain closed on 15th, 16th and 17th November.
The first holiday will be on 15th November as this day marks the auspicious occasion of Gurpurab in the honour of the first Guru, Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The next day, 16th November, is designated as the Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Sardar Kartar Singh Sarabha and has been declared as a public holiday. Lastly, 17th November is a Sunday which further extends the holiday period.
This announcement of 3 consecutive holidays has allowed the students and staffs to enjoy time off amidst the festive season.
