"Do you think a BJP or RSS person will hoist Nishan Sahib (religious flag) at Red fort? Think about it." says Deep Sidhu in a new video released on Facebook. Justifying his stance in the previous video and asking union leaders to take stand in favor of the farmers, actor-activist said, "The true and pious person will hoist Nishan Sahib at Red fort."
Sidhu tried to clean allegations that were leveled by several farmer leaders of being a 'traitor' on him. He also claimed that he reached Red fort later after the farmers had already entered. He alleged that those who call him traitor are egoistic and always wanted their orders to be fulfilled.
Sidhu also draws a parallel between government and such leaders who called him 'traitor'. "Ehi gallan sarkar krdi hai, ehi tuc kri jande o," he said. He also claimed that if it happened similarly in the future also, no one will fight for their people with feelings and emotions. "You had handed a certificate of a 'traitor' to such people," says Sidhu.
"Ethe tan parivar-vad hi rahu, ja jehde leader bande a, yan ohna de bache leader ban jande a......asi leader banan nahi aaye," (Dynastic rule will stay here, or those who are leaders, their children will become leader, we have not come here to become leaders) Sidhu added.
"You have not taken any stand and opposed one person and called him a traitor," said Sidhu. He further claims in the video that the people had woken up the government that was deaf and blind earlier also.
In an over 16 minute video with more than 38,000 likes, 13,000 shares and 595k views, he asks, Whether we made any harm to the police? Sidhu said, police personnel praised them for their resilience.
While clarifying why he left the protest site yesterday, he said he didn't wish to fight with his own people and avoided the situation. He thought it better to go away from the protest site rather than getting beaten up or fighting with his own people. He ends, "I'll bring truth to the forefront soon. How can you brand me as a traitor?." In the end, he advised people to change their mindset.
