Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone on Saturday deposed before the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in a drugs-related case after her alleged chats came to the fore.
Deepika was summoned for questioning by the drug law enforcement agency on Wednesday. She arrived at the NCB office before 10 a.m. Going by the reports Deepika for the first 2 hours was questioned alone by a team of 5 members of the NCB. Then the actress was jointly interrogated along with her manager Karishma Prakash.
Now as per reports, Deepika Padukone has confessed WhatsApp chats with her manager Karishma Prakash was hers. The NCB sources confirmed that she has accepted the drug chat with her manager.
NCB Sources also said that Deepika Padukone’s answers are not satisfactory when asked about drug consumption. As per reports, Deepika said that she smoked doobies which are quite common in their film industry circle.
Going by the words of advocate Mandeep Singh Sachdeva, if she has confessed to the NCB and she has no license for small consumption of drugs then she can be jailed for 6 months. He also said that in India even personal consumption psychopathic drugs are banned.
