Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, who was out of jail on interim bail in the Delhi Liquor Policy case, reached Punjab on Thursday on a two-day visit. He reached the Golden Temple in the evening along with Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann. Kejriwal paid obeisance at the Golden Temple and Durgiana temple.
The Delhi CM, however, did not forget his obligations to campaign for AAP candidates in Punjab. At 6 pm, he will attend the road show organized in favor of the party's candidate Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal at Lahori Gate. Bhagwant Mann will also be present with him. Tomorrow he is expected to visit Ram Tirith.
During the roadshow, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal had said that he will win the elections this year by 2.5 lakh votes. At the same time, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh was also seen at the spot.
Kejriwal’s first visit to Punjab after bail
This is Kejriwal's first visit to Punjab after coming out of jail. Earlier, he had come to Punjab before his arrest in March. On March 12, he launched AAP's election campaign in Mohali. After this, ED arrested him on March 21. He was given interim bail by the Supreme Court on May 10 until June 1. Following his jail stint, CM Bhagwant Mann himself was taking charge of the elections in Punjab.
