'Delhi Crime' is streaming on Netflix from March 22. The seven-episode series has been directed by Indo-Canadian filmmaker Richie Mehta. The series is based on Nirbhaya rape case that shook the nation in 2012. If one tries to recall the details of the horrendous gang rape, it will still send shivers down the spine. 'Delhi Crime' digs into how the police investigated the case and got hold the culprits.
Director Richie Mehta has reportedly worked on the script for four years and even the smallest of the details have been taken care of. The series have a big star-cast which also includes famous names like Shefali Shah. The series also includes Adil Hussain, Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, Anurag Arora, Gopal Datt, and Vinod Sherawat. Actress Shefali Shah's role of Vartika Chaturvedi is inspired by Chhaya Sharma who was the head of the Delhi Police team that apprehended Nirbhaya's culprits.
