Director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is back with another hard-hitting film, The Delhi Files, following his previous thought-provoking projects, The Tashkent Files and The Kashmir Files. Known for sparkling discussions on forgotten historical issues, Agnihotri’s latest film focuses on the Bengal tragedy, a lesser-known chapter of Indian history. 

Agnihotri has divided The Delhi Files into two parts, with the first installment, The Bengal Chapter, set for a grand Independence Day 2025 release. Produced by Abhishek Agarwal and Pallavi Joshi, along with Tej Narayan Aagarwal and I Am Buddha Productions, the film is slated for a worldwide release on August 15, 2025.

A riveting teaser featuring Mithun Chakraborty 

The teaser of The Delhi Files has been unveiled offering an intense and gripping glimpse into the film. The nearly two-minute clip features veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty in a powerful role. Supporting a rugged look with white bread, he is seen reciting the preamble to the constitution of India with a burnt tongue in a desolate corridor. Appearing weary, he limps while speaking, and the video ends with his character leaning against a wall, exhausted yet resolute.
