As Delhi keeps on gasping for oxygen, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the government has decided to import 18 oxygen tankers and 21 ready-to-use oxygen plants from France to manage the oxygen prevailing oxygen crisis.
Arvind Kejriwal said that the tankers will start arriving from tomorrow.
While addressing a press conference, CM Kejriwal said, “Delhi Government has requested Centre to allow use of Air Force planes for this. Talks are underway with centre government for the same, we are hopeful for the assistance and this will surely resolve our issue of transport”.
Besides, to address shortage of oxygen tankers in the country, the union government has also imported 20 cryogenic tankers of 10 MT and 20 MT capacity and allocated them to the states.
Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Gujarat will get two 20 MT cryogenic tankers each. Uttar Pradesh (three), Rajasthan (four), Delhi (three) and Gujarat (two) will get 10 MT cryogenic tankers.
