Coronavirus quarantine periods and lockdowns are bringing out the worst from a section of people. While at one side people came together to express their gratitude to workers during Janata Curfew, a section of people are actually living in hoax and myths.
A shameful incident has come into the limelight, a Manipuri girl from Delhi Vijay Nagar area was spat on by a middle-aged man and shouted at “Corona” before fleeing on his white scooty.
The Delhi police has registered a case against an unknown person for outraging the modesty of the woman. An FIR has been registered under IPC Section 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) at Mukherjee Nagar police station

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju as well took on twitter and expressed concern over racism. He tweeted, "Some incidents of racial remarks against North-East people have emerged in some parts of India in the wake of #Coronavirus due to cultural ignorance, prejudice mindset & lack of understanding. Matter discussed with NE Division, MHA. Strict advisory is being issued to the States."
