Stones were thrown at the Delhi-Pathankot Express, traveling from Amritsar to New Delhi, close to the Doraha railway station between Ludhiana and Khanna. This was a distressing incident. Yuvraj Singh, a traveler from Panipat, was hurt in the attack when a stone broke through the window pane and hit him in the face. Singh suffered severe lip injuries and fractured teeth as a result of the impact. Along with him on their trip were Sukhwinder Kaur, his mother, and Kawaljit Singh, a relative.
Following the Ludhiana stop, the train had just departed from Doraha station when the incident occurred. The sudden attack instantly injured Yuvraj, which is why Kawaljit Singh contacted the train guard. The train abruptly stopped at Sirhind railway station due to Yuvraj's severe injuries and profuse bleeding, and the guard used the onboard kit to administer first aid. Yuvraj was later admitted to Civil Hospital Fatehgarh Sahib after obtaining additional medical attention and a referral for specialized care.
The Government Railway Police (GRP) promptly began their investigation. Kuldeep Singh, the in-charge of GRP Chowki Khanna, reported that upon receiving the information, he visited Civil Hospital Fatehgarh Sahib to assess the situation. However, due to Yuvraj's condition, he was unable to provide a statement. Following Kawaljit Singh's account, the police filed a case in accordance with Section 152 of the Railway Act.
In an effort to obtain information and guarantee the security of travelers on the route, the authorities launched an investigation at the scene of the incident in Doraha. The railway police are dedicated to finding and capturing the person(s) behind this careless deed.
