A Public awareness program was organized by Delhi Public Library on January 01, 2020, under the theme "Remove Plastic, Bring Sanitation, Save Health" campaign.
Dr Ramsharan Gaur, President, Delhi Library Board, Dr Babita Gaur, Senior Library and Information Officer, Delhi Public Library and Dr Vinod Babbar, litterateurs were also present in this program.
Dr Babita Gaur, Senior Library and Information Officer, Delhi Public Library, by highlighting the harmful effects of plastic use, reuse of plastic and disposal of waste by powerpoint presentation, requested everyone to erase plastic usage from the root. After the presentation on the above topic, a quiz was organized for staff and readers of DPL and books were presented as a gift to the winning participants

At the end of the program, everyone took a pledge not to use plastic in future and to make others aware on this subject.
