From tomorrow, Delhi-Meerut Expressway is being opened which will experiment, for the first time in India, with automatic vehicle number plate reading cameras.
A trial with vehicles on the expressway has been completed.
This expressway will pass through several cities of western Uttar Pradesh.
Travellers and Commuters of the following routes are rejoicing:
· Delhi to Meerut
· Ghaziabad
· Hapur
· Shamli
· Muzaffarnagar
· Uttarakhand
· Delhi Akshardham to Noida Mor
· Ghazipur Murga Mandi- Indirapuram
· Duda Heda
· Dasna
· Eastern Peripheral expressway
Money paid = Kms travelled
Toll will be charged from the beginning of Delhi-Meerut Expressway.

Though, toll rates have not been decided by those concerned.
Fastag is mandatory.
Also, if a distance of 3 km is covered from Kale Khan to UP Gate, then also toll will be charged.
Speed limit?
100 km/hour has been set as the speed limit from UP Gate to Meerut and 70 km/hour from Delhi to UP gate.
Two-wheelers? Tractors?
These two classes of vehicles are banned on the Expressway.
