Devara part 1 is an Indian Telugu language movie. The movie is directed by Koratala Siva. The movie stars Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Shruti Marathe, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko and Narain. The film is produced by Yuvasudha Arts and N. T. R. Arts.
Initially, the movie was scheduled to release on 5th April but due to post-production and VFX works, the release date of the movie got rescheduled. The movie released on 27th September in theatres worldwide.
In the film, Jr NTR is seen in a double role. The film has also marked Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s Telugu movie debut.

Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Devara part 1 is all set get released on OTT platform. This action drama movie will start streaming on 8th November on Netflix. However, this is a tentative release date and official announcement is yet to be made by the makers of the film.
This blockbuster movie has collected more than Rs 360 crore at the worldwide box-office. It also became the fastest Indian film to sell 35,000 tickets in North America and 30,000 in the US.
The storyline of the movie revolves around a village chief's son who secretly continues his father's mission to end smuggling, meanwhile he also pretends to be weak and maintains the illusion that his father is still alive.
In an interview, Jr NTR had revealed that Devara wasn’t supposed to have a sequel movie. He said, “We never wanted to actually make this film in two parts. Never. We never had the intention of making it into two parts. But going deep into it, when we started shooting for it, it’s characters-driven.”
This movie got the U/A certificate by the censor boards after 4 major changes in the movie. The censor board asked the makers of the film to make 4 changes in the film.
The first scene that the censor board asked to remove featured a character brutally kicking his wife in the stomach. The second scene that was removed included a character kicking his mother. Third shot featuring a character hanging from a sword and then sliding down through it, was removed. Lastly, the makers were asked to put a disclaimer in the scene where Jr. NTR was seen riding a shark.
