Chandigarh, March 11: Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Dinkar Gupta on Thursday, announced coveted ‘DGP’s Commendation Disc’ for the Punjab Police Sub-Inspector Harpreet Singh, who secured the first position in the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) Hackathon & Cyber Challenge-2021.
National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) and Cyber Peace Foundation had jointly organised this virtual National-level competition from March 3 to March 5, 2021, in which candidates presented their ideas under three categories including Ideas to improve NCRB IT Applications, Solutions for Problem Statements and Identification of new IT Applications for Policing for Pan-India Rollout.

SI Harpreet Singh, who is a member of core team of State Project Monitoring Unit (SPMU) in Technical Services Wing of Punjab Police has clinched the top spot for presenting his ideas to Improve NCRB IT Applications.
Meanwhile, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Technical Services Kuldeep Singh also congratulated SI Harpreet Singh for the achievement and conveyed best wishes to him.
