'MS Dhoni favourite food, Sachin Tendulkar favourite food': BCCI's Rajeev Shukla spills the beans

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Vice President & veteran Congress leader Rajeev Shukla recently revealed many secrets of Team India's current as well as former players. Rajeev Shukla was recently featured in Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast where he talked about Indian cricket. Podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia during the interview asked about favourite food of MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar and Shah Rukh Khan. Below is an excerpt from the interview- 

Team India players' favourite food

On being asked about Sachin Tendulkar's favourite food, Rajeev Shukla said, "Sachin has opened his restaurant and it serves very good food. He likes seafood." For those who are unaware, Sachin Tendulkar's eatery name is Tendulkar Restaurant and it is located in Mumbai. 

On being questioned about MS Dhoni's favourite food, Rajeev Shukla said, "When I was with the team, MS Dhoni used to go to a chicken eatery chain named Nando's." For the unversed, Nando's is a South African multinational fast food chain that specialises in Portuguese flame-grilled peri-peri style chicken. 

On being asked about SRK's favourite food, Rajeev Shukla said, "Shah Rukh Khan's funda is totally different. He used to say that people have not died by not eating. They have died by eating. So, food is not his priority. He is not much of a foodie. He finds his joy through work."

Why doesn't MS Dhoni keep mobile phones?

Rajeev Shukla also talked about the fact that MS Dhoni is very tough to reach out to. "It is his nature. He does not even keep a mobile phone with him. BCCI selectors used to find it difficult how they should approach him. He never keeps his mobile phone with him. It is his nature. He is not a Sadhu type but he is principled. (Koi chichorapan nahi hain un,mein)."

On being asked about who can be a good politician, Shukla answered, "MS Dhoni can be a good politician. He can even win as he is very popular. I don't know if he will enter politics as it is completely in his hands. I once asked him if he was fighting Lok Sabha Elections. He completely denied it saying, 'No No.'
