Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha has recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. On 20 years of Anil Sharma's directorial Gadar, the film crew shared a plethora of secret stories and trivia.
One such story has emerged disclosing comedian and show host Kapil Sharma’s association with the film. Did you know, ace comedian Kapil was part of the film?
The majority of us have watched Gadar but no one ever noticed Kapil in any scene. This is because his scene was cut off from the movie. Kapil Sharma himself has shared this amazing story about his role in the film.
The comedian tells that a scene of the film was to be shot in Amritsar, where Kapil Sharma also lived at that time. His father, who was a police officer, was assigned duty on the set of the film. Following this, Kapil Sharma reached on the set with his father.
Kapil recalls, there was a rumor on the set that on being a part of the shooting you will get a chance to meet Sunny Deol. Later, Kapil and his friend came to know that Sunny Deol hadn’t arrived and Amrish Puri and Ameesha Patel were shooting a scene.

Kapil and his friend were asked to run and board the train. Ameesha also had to board the running train but couldn’t manage to do so twice. “After a few moments, I got an idea that my scene won’t be captured due to the crowd,” said Kapil.
He further added, “So, when the director yelled action, the entire crowd started running in one direction. But I ran in a different direction which was not crowded.”
However, the director caught and scolded him. It was only after a sweet slur that Kapil did what he was asked for. “Later, when the film was released, I took my friends to theater to show them my scene. But, unfortunately, my scene was cut,” Kapil concluded.
