Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma on Monday issued her first statement after pictures and videos of her daughter Vamika cheering for her father Virat Kohli went viral on social media. While chasing the target of 288 runs in the third ODI against South Africa in Cape Town, Virat Kohli smashed his second 50 of the limited over series pulled out a cradle celebration, and dedicated his innings to his daughter. The entire moment was captured by the broadcaster and was aired during the live match.
Following that, the photos and videos of Anushka Sharma and Vamika cheering for Virat Kohli from the stands went viral. Now, Anushka Sharma has issued her statement on social media and appealed to the fans to not circulate the images and videos of her daughter. Furthermore, Virat Kohli's better half stated that they were not aware that the camera was on them and therefore 'caught off-guard'.
Anushka Sharma writes, "Hi guys! We realise that our daughter's images were captured at the stadium yesterday and widely shared thereafter. We want to inform everyone that we were caught off guard and didn't know that the camera was on us. Our stance and request on the matter stay the same. We would really appreciate if Vamika's images are not clicked/published for reasons we have explained earlier."
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have always kept their daughter Vamika away from the media limelight. In fact, Kohli and Anushka have always appealed to the media to not click photos of their daughter. Virat had also told the reason behind he was keeping Vamika away from the public by “We have decided as a couple to not expose our child to social media before she has an understanding of what social media is and can make her own choice.”
