A new beef is in the making in the Punjabi music industry after rapper Nseeb hit Diljit Dosanjh below the belt by sharing his pic sans turban saying that the Amar Singh Chamkila star does not deserve to be called a Punjabi. Nseeb took to his Instagram handle on Tuesday and slammed Diljit Dosanjh saying that he does not even know how to tie a turban. Nseeb also advised Diljit to learn how to a tie a turban. As a result, Diljit Dosanjh responded to Nseeb's criticism on his Instagram story. Below is what Diljit wrote-
Diljit penned a note on his Instagram story. Extending warm wishes to the rapper, the actor-singer wrote in Punjabi, "Veere, baut pyar tuanu (Brother, love to you)." He wished for Naseeb's success and reflected on the divine presence of the almighty in every human being.
How did Nseeb vs Diljit Dosanjh controversy began?
As per reports, it all began when Nseeb called out the Punjabi singer & actor Diljit Dosanjh by commenting on one of the singer’s Instagram posts. Nseeb asked him how much did he get for selling his soul. Although Diljit did not react to it, Nseeb claimed that Diljit shared a motivational video as a cryptic reply to him. He then shared a picture allegedly of Diljit in short hair and wrote, "No, you are not Punjab. Go learn pagg kiwe bnidi aw," referring to Diljit calling himself as Punjab on stage during his Dil-luminati Tour.
After Diljit sent his love to the Punjabi rapper, Nseeb also lightened his mood and wrote, "Sikhi is Superior Big Brother. Mae Bss Thode Vichaar hin deek reha cc, M gonna delete it later'.
It is pertinent to mention here that DIljit Dosanjh came under the scanner after he was shown in short hairs in the movie Amar Singh Chamkila. Many wondered if Diljit Dosanjh cut his hair for the role or not. However, Amar Singh Chamkila Director Imtiaz Ali refused reports saying that Diljit cut his hair. Imtiaz was quoted saying, "I would not want to share his personal details, but yes, Diljit has worn a wig. That wig is like his turban only. He has not sacrificed a single hair for this film. Because he played a character and he knew how Chamkila looked, so he managed to look the part with a wig. He donned the look very sincerely and with very good intentions."
