Singer Diljit Dosanjh has brought his Dil-Luminati Tour to India after performing all across North America, Australia and New Zealand. The Dil-Luminati India Tour will start from 26th October. It will start from Delhi and then it will cover other cities including Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, Indore, Chandigarh, and Guwahati.
Recently, his manager Sonali Singh has shared that his North America tour was very successful. She also revealed the huge amount of revenue that got generated in his North America Tour.
She said, “There were resellers who were selling tickets for 64,000 dollars (Rs 54 lakh) and 55,000 dollars (Rs 46 lakh), and there were also buyers for it. That wasn’t the official ticket prices, but there is a trend where people usually buy and then resell it.”
“The tickets for the first show in the UK sold out in a couple of hours. We were hesitant to announce a second show, but by the second day, it was too completely sold out. We were then discussing whether or not to have a third show, but a report claimed that around 80,000 people were waiting in queue for a ticket to Diljit’s concert. We generated close to 28 million dollars (Rs 234 crore) during his North America Dil-Luminati tour,” she further added.
She shared that Diljit will also perform in Abu Dhabi for a day. She said, “In Abu Dhabi, we have sold close to 30,000 tickets which is highest for any Indian artist.”
Dil-Luminati concert’s excitement is clearly visible in India as well. On Tuesday, 10th September, Diljit Dosanjh had sold 1 lakh tickets within just 15 minutes in the pre-sale of Dil-Luminati India Tour.
He has also expressed his excitement for the Dil-Luminati India Tour through writing a note on Instagram. He wrote, “Bringing the Dil-Luminati Tour to India is a dream come true. After the incredible journey abroad, performing in my homeland feels like coming full circle. The love and energy I've felt from fans around the world have been extraordinary, but there's something uniquely special about performing here, where it all began. India, get ready, because Punjabi ghar aa gaye oye! We're going to make history together – I can promise you a night you'll never forget!”
