Better half of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and parliamentarian from Kanauj Dimple Yadav on Saturday filled her nomination. Fighting from Kanauj for the third time, Dimple represented the Lok Sabha seat from 2012 when it was vacated by her husband, who had become the Chief Minister.
She headed to file the nomination along with a grand road show where MPs like Jaya Bachchan and Dharmendra Yadav supported her by their presence.
Flaunting the power of the grand alliance she said “"The victory margin will be huge since there is an alliance between SP-BSP. BJP did not fulfill its promises and now to divert attention; it is using the security forces. It has been a failed government.”
