Inside Out 2 is an American animated coming-of-age movie produced by Pixar Animated Studios. The movie is the sequel of Inside Out released in 2015. The movie is directed by Kelsy Mann and is produced by Mark Nielsen. Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Lewis Black, Diane Lane, and Kyle MacLachlan, Maya Hawke, Kensington Tallman, Tony Hale, Liza Lapira, Ayo Edebiri, Lilimar, Grace Lu, Sumayyah Nuriddin-Green, Adèle Exarchopoulos, and Paul Walter Hauser have given their voice to the characters of the movie.
The movie features Maya Hawke as Anxiety, Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, Lewis Black as Anger, Tony Hale as Fear, and Liza Lapira as Disgust.
The storyline of the movie revolves around Riley's emotions as they find themselves joined by new emotions that want to take over Riley's head.
Inside Out 2 was released on 10th June 2024, at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles and then the film got released in the US on 14th June 2024. The movie got the title of the highest-grossing animated film of all time, the highest-grossing film of 2024, and the eighth-highest-grossing film of all time. It made a huge collection of 1.682 billion dollars worldwide. This 96-minute-long movie has gained a lot of appreciation from the audience.
The screenplay of Inside Out 2 is written by LeFauve and Dave Holstein. In an interview, Dave Holstein said, “The first film gave everyone a visual language to talk about their feelings. I thought, ‘If I can do that for teenagers’ which was probably the hardest time in my life and if I can make that time a little better, then I’d love to.”
When is Inside Out 2 releasing on the OTT?
This Disney Pixar's animated movie will be available to watch on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar from 25th September. Pixar has shared a post on Instagram announcing the OTT release date of the movie. The caption reads, “Contain your emotions, because #InsideOut2 is coming to @DisneyPlus September 25!”
