For motivating students of government schools to join the civil services, District Administration Ludhiana today showed “12th Fail” movie to around 350 class 9-12 students of Government Schools of Eminence and Meritorious School. This movie was shown to the students at PVR Inox in Silver Arc Mall, here.
This event was a brainchild of SDM Ludhiana (West) Dr Harjinder Singh Bedi IAS. He informed that upon watching this movie, he discussed the idea of showing it to the students of Government schools with Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik as it would motivate them into joining the civil services. He said that several instances in this movie are similar to the ones that he himself had faced while preparing for the UPSC in Delhi.
Dr Bedi said that civil services are a mean through which one can serve his or her county in a more effective manner because one of part of the decision making process. He urged the students to must try for joining the civil services if they want to serve their country along with a good job prospect.
DEO (Secondary) Dimple Madaan said that this “12th Fail” movie teaches us ways and motivation to restart our life in case of any failure. She said that the students should understand that if they face any kind of failure in life, they should not get disheartened and “restart” from the beginning as hard work always pays off.
She said that today, this movie was shown to the students from class 9th to 12th from Schools of Eminence and Meritorious School of district Ludhiana. She said that this movie would be shown to more students in the coming days as well.
