Divya Khosla calls Alia Bhatt’s Jigra box office collection fake; Says, ‘Theatre totally empty…’

Actress Divya Khosla Kumar has criticised Alia Bhatt starring Jigra and has accused the actress for buying her own movie’s tickets for the box office collection.

On Saturday, 12th October, Popular Bollywood actress Divya Khosla Kumar shared a story on her Instagram where she accused Alia Bhatt and claimed that she bought her own movie’s tickets in order to boost the box office collection of the movie. In the post, she said that she went to watch Jigra movie featuring Alia Bhatt, but when she reached the theatre, she saw the theatre was totally empty. After witnessing this, she said that Alia Bhatt really has a lot of courage as she has bought her own movie tickets and has announced fake box office collection. She wondered that why is the paid media silent?

In the post, she wrote, “Went to Citi Mall PVR for Jigra show. Theatre was totally empty … all theatres going empty everywhere. #Aliabhatt me sach mein Bahut #Jigra hai.. khud hi tickets karide aur fake collections announce kar diye. Wonder why paid media is silent.” (“Really Alia Bhatt has a lot of courage, she has bought the tickets and has announced the fake box office collection”)

Movie director Karan Johar has indirectly reacted to the post shared by Divya Khosla. He shared an Instagram story that reads, “Silence is the best speech you will ever give to fools.”

Following Karan Johar’s post, Divya shared another story her on her Instagram, she wrote, “Truth will always offend fools opposed to it.”

She shared another post which reads, “When you shamelessly accustomed to stealing what rightfully belongs to others, you will always seek shelter in silence. You will have no voice no spine.”

Jigra movie’s storyline revolves around two siblings. Alia Bhatt playing the role of the sister saves her brother and tries to release him from a prison whereas in Savi, a housewife played by Divya tries to release her husband from the jail.

Previously Divya had addressed the media and talked about the similarities between her movie tiled Savi and Alia Bhatt’s Jigra. She said, “Yes, I too have been getting this question a lot from the media, the industry, and the trade that Savi and Jigra are seeming very similar… our film was based on jailbreak—how a simple housewife attempts a jailbreak to get her husband out of prison. And even though Jigra may be similar, I feel every film has its own journey to it.”
