The State Bank of India (SBI) offers Equated Monthly Instalments (EMI) facility for its customers using SBI Debit Cards, that is now, SBI customers can convert their purchases into EMI. This EMI facility comes with flexible return options – 6, 9, 12, and 18 months.
In a press release, the bank stated, “EMI facility using SBI debit card in order to purchase consumer durables from merchant stores by swiping their cards at PoS (Point of Sale).”
“Users can also avail this facility while buying online via e-commerce portals such as Amazon and Flipkart through SBI debit card,” it added.
Candidate can check their eligibility for the same by sending “DCEMI” to 567676 from their registered mobile phone to the bank.

How to avail the EMI facility?
SBI Customers have to follow these steps to avail the facility:
Step 1: Swipe card on POS machine at the merchant store
Step 2: Select – Brand EMI, then Bank EMI.
Step 3: Enter Amount and Repayment tenor.
Step 4: Enter PIN (Personal Identification Number) and press OK after the POS machine has checked the eligibility.
Step 5: The loan amount is booked after a successful transaction.
Step 6: The charge slip containing bill amount, the customer then needs to sign on the Terms and Conditions.

How to avail the facility on e-commerce platforms, including Flipkart, Amazon?
Step 1: Login on Amazon or Flipkart from the mobile number registered with the bank.
Step 2: Select the required item and proceed with payment.
Step 3: Select the “Easy EMI” option from different payment options that appear.
Step 4: Select SBI, under the ‘bank’ section.
Step 5: The amount is auto fetched, enter the tenor and click on “Proceed.”
Step 6: SBI Login page appears, enter the internet banking or debit card credentials.
Step 7: Accept all the Terms and Conditions, your order would be booked.
