Following a decrease in the cost of gas cylinders for commercial use, the
cost of gas cylinders for residential use has now, after a period of 48 days,
become more expensive. According to the most recent information provided by
Indian Oil, you will now be required to pay an additional Rs 50 for a non-subsidized
14.2 kg cylinder. The price of a cylinder that holds 14 kilograms has gone up
from Rs 1003 to Rs 1053 in the nation's capital of Delhi.
In the early morning hours of May 19, petroleum firms raised the price
of home LPG gas cylinders by Rs 3.50. At the same time, an increase of 8 rupees
was implemented in the cost of commercial gas cylinders.
These cities saw cylinder prices rise over Rs 1100.
- Bihar: Supaul (Rs.1157.5), Patna (Rs.1151), Bhagalpur (Rs.1150.5) and Aurangabad (Rs.1149.5).
- Madhya Pradesh: Bhind (Rs.1132), Gwalior (Rs.1137), and Morena (Rs.1137)
- Jharkhand: Dumka (Rs. 1110.5) and Ranchi (Rs. 1110.57)
- Chhattisgarh: Kanker (Rs.1141) and Raipur (Rs.1124).
- Uttar Pradesh: Sonbhadra (Rs.1140)
In the span of one year, the price of a gas cylinder went up by Rs
218.50.
On July 1, 2021, the price of a household gas cylinder in Delhi was
834.50 rupees; this price has now increased to 1053 rupees. That means the cost
of a household gas cylinder has gone up by Rs 218.50 in the time span of a
single year. This subsidy, along with all others, has been eliminated.
On July 1st, there was a reduction in the cost of commercial gas
cylinders. As a direct result of this, the cost of a 19-kg commercial cylinder
in Delhi has decreased from Rs 2219 to Rs 2021. In a similar vein, as opposed
to the previous price of Rs 2322 in Kolkata, the same cylinder will now be
offered for Rs 2140. The price has decreased in Mumbai from Rs 2171.50 to Rs
1981, while in Chennai it has decreased from Rs 2373 to Rs 2186.
As a direct result of this change, the price of a gas cylinder has
decreased by Rs. 198 in Delhi, Rs. 182 in Kolkata, Rs. 190.50 in Mumbai, and
Rs. 187 in Chennai. The prices of commercial cylinders were lowered by 135
Indian rupees (Rs.) in the month of June of the previous year. On the other
hand, there was no reprieve provided by the oil corporations for the home gas
cylinders. In Delhi, a gas cylinder of 14.2 kg costs a total of Rs 1003.
