The owner of the Johal Hospital in Ramamandi, Dr. BS Johal, has withdrawn his petition for anticipatory bail. A settlement has been reached between the complainant and Dr. Johal in court. The complainant withdrew his complaint by recording a statement in court pursuant to section 164 of the CrPC. Dr. BS Johal said that the police's case against him was not supported by any evidence.

He said that the migrant worker whose complaint resulted in the case being filed against him also had his testimony recorded in the court in his favor. According to Dr. Johal, the migrant worker said in his statement that he was forced to sign blank papers. He does not know Dr. Johal and has never met him. Additionally, he submitted a petition asking the court to dismiss his case. He said that a false case against him had been filed by the police. There was no offense like the sections imposed on him under the SCST Act.

A woman resident of Bawa Basti Khel in Jalandhar West in Ramamandi, Jalandhar had died during childbirth. On the complaint of the woman's husband, the police filed a complaint against the owner of the hospital, Dr. Johal, under the SC/ST Act. The case was registered. Section 3, 4, 5 of the SC / ST Act, under which a case was registered for insulting by speaking the word 'caste'.

The Indian Medical Association (IMA) came out in favor of Dr. Johal after a case was registered against him under the SC/ST Act. The FIR against Dr. Johal was not canceled despite the IMA staging a sit-in protest and submitting a memo to the Police Commissioner asking for it to be done.

Following this, Dr. BS Johal petitioned for anticipatory bail before Judge Sarabjit Singh Dhaliwal at the Additional District and Sessions Court. The bail petition was presented for the third time in September itself. On the previous date of September 6, the court had fixed September 13 for a hearing on bail. But today both the parties have reached an agreement.
