However, on Wednesday 43 people have fallen prey to the contagious disease. Of 43, Jalandhar's first corona warrior Dr. Harveen Kaur, Emergency Medical Officer Civil Hospital has also contracted the infection. Reportedly, Dr. Harveen has treated 125 coronavirus positive patients so far.
For the last two months, Dr. Harveen was serving in De-addiction and TB ward. On asking Dr. Harveen said, she remained active while on duty and even wore PPE gear but, from the past few days, those who were suspected for the infection entered directly to the Corona Ward rather than getting registered themselves at the Flu corner. In lieu of this, she had to tackle some of the patients who were even suspected for the coronavirus.

She further added that such negligence of natives is worrisome for the frontline workers who are trying to curb the spread of the disease.
