The forensic department of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in its report to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has "hinted" that the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was suicide and not murder, sources said on Saturday.
The AIIMS forensic panel under Dr. Sudhir Gupta was formed at the request of the CBI in August to assist in giving medico-legal opinion in connection with the death of the late actor.
Eminent news channel India Today quoted Dr. Sudhir Gupta. He said, "Sushant's death is a case of suicide. Murder completely ruled out". The reports also said that the panel of AIIMS doctors was re-evaluating Sushant Singh Rajput's post-mortem and viscera reports based on the 20 percent viscera sample available with them. The forensic agencies have examined a laptop, two hard disks, a canon camera, and two mobile phones.
The reports suggest that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will be continuing its probe from the angle of a suicide. The abetment to suicide angle will also be investigated. All aspects are still open in the CBI probe and if any evidence comes to light proving otherwise, Section 302 of the IPC, which is a murder charge, will be added.
Well, how much truth in the various media reports only official statements of CBI can reveal.
