The entire world on Sunday will be glued to their TVs & mobile phones to witness the IPL 2024 finals between KKR and SRH. Kolkata Knight Riders will lock horns with the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Chepauk on Sunday. While KKR stormed into the finals by defeating SRH in Qualifier 1, SRH made its way to the IPL 2024 final by defeating Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2. Hence, Indians as well as cricketing fans around the world will be glued to the high-octane match on Sunday evening. Interestingly, the craze of the Indian Premier League has started to grow in Hollywood as well. Canadian rapper & multiple Grammy awards winner, Drake on Saturday placed his first-ever cricketing bet ahead of the IPL 2024 finals.
Drake IPL 2024 Final bet took the internet by storm as the Canadian rapper is known for placing big money during the NFL and UFC events. Going by the screenshot shared by the Canadian rapper, Drake placed a bet on KKR in its match against SRH in the IPL finals. The screenshot claimed that Drake had a 1.70 odds of winning the bet. His bet is worth $250,000, and its estimated payout is $425,000. Drake wrote along with the screenshot, "Since @ovorajaju team is out, I am going with KKR for my first ever cricket bet (teary-eyed laughter emoji) Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo."
For those who are unaware, Drake was referring to his manager Sureshkumar Subramaniam, who goes by the Instagram handle @ovorajaju. Notably Drake is known for winning big money in bets. During Super Bowl LVII, Drake placed a $700,000 bet on the Kansas City Chiefs. Notably, Kansas City Chiefs went on to win the match. He's also bet on Patrick Mahomes to score a touchdown, and Travis Kelce to be named MVP. Due to this, Drake had won over $1.1 million by betting on the game.
IPL 2024 KKR vs SRH
Coming back to KKR vs SRH IPL 2024 final, Shreyas Iyer-led Kolkata will take on Cummins-led Sunrisers Hyderabad. Shah Rukh Khan-owned IPL team, KKR has displayed exemplary performance in the entire season ever since former cricketer Gautam Gambhir came back to the squad as a Mentor. On the other hand, Pat Cummins has been riding the horse of success. In few years, Cummins won the World Test Championship, and Cricket World Cup 2023 and now, the lanky Aussie pacer has captained Hyderabad into the IPL 2024 finals. Cummins has impressed cricket pundits all over the world with his captaincy skills. However, KKR poses a massive threat to Cummins's captaincy. KKR has multiple spinners in its arsenal- Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine. During Qualifier 1, SRH could not get going against KKR spinners even though the Ahmedabad pitch did not possess any 'turning track' daemon. However, Chennai's Chepauk is known for its turning track that may suit KKR more.
