While the majority of Indian states are already engulfed in the deadly heat wave, the people of the country are witnessing an unprecedented increase in earthquakes as well. On early Saturday morning, an earthquake of magnitude 3.2 jolted North India for the fourth time in a month. The tremors were felt in Punjab, Delhi, and Chandigarh. The epicenter of 'Earthquake Today' was at Rohtak in Haryana. Talking about the series of earthquakes this month, two were centered in Jammu and Kashmir, while one was in Leh, Ladakh.
Coming back to Earthquake today, National Centre for Seismology stated that the intensity of this earthquake measured 3.2 on the Richter scale. The tremors were felt around 3:57 AM. The latitude and longitude coordinates were recorded as 29.12 and 76.35, respectively, with a depth of 10 kilometers. The epicenter was located 35 kilometers northwest of Rohtak in Haryana. These tremors occurred early in the morning while people were asleep. If the intensity had been higher, it could have resulted in significant damage to life and property.
