Indian Forest Service officer Yedukondalu V on Tuesday shared a clip of rescue operation of an elephant after it accidentally fell into an agricultural well at the Malai Mahadeshwara Wildlife Sanctuary in Karnataka on Thursday.
The jumbo struggled in the water in the well while officials made an attempt to rescue it. A crane dug into one side of the well to create a smooth path following which the elephant climbed out of it.
In his post, Yedukondalu V thanked officials concerned and the forest frontline staff for helping with the rescue mission. "Rescued the male elephant that fell into an agricultural well in Hoogyam, MM Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Thanks to villagers, police, media and forest frontline staff for cooperating," Yedukondalu V said in the caption of the post.
