Ellen DeGeneres, the famous talk show host of the "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" reported that her Montecito Mansion was robbed and what's shocking is that it all happened while she and her partner Portia de Rossi were inside the mansion.
After the robbery, they've reportedly decided to turn their home into a "fortress". Although the couple was at home during the robbery, they weren't harmed and what’s surprising is that, the burglar/ burglars went completely un-noticed! Yes, that is correct! Somehow, the perpetrator/ perpetrators didn’t even appear on their mansion’s CCTV footage.
At the moment, it’s unclear whether the couple came in contact with the thief who reportedly left with some jewelry.
The entry point for the robber was through the back door of the mansion and now Ellen wants to make sure that such an incidence never happens in the future. She’s decided to upgrade security which includes hiring a new security company, installing laser sensors and cameras around the entire property and finally, hire armed patrolling guards.
Santa Barbra County Sheriff’s office said that crooks took off with some high end jewelry and watches. They decided to target Ellen’s house due to her “celebrity status”. At present it’s unclear whether the robbery at DeGeneres’s place is related to the other celeb robberies in the greater L.A area. The sheriff’s office said that it is working with other law agencies to investigate the matter.
