Mohan Bhagwat addressing an event in Madhya Pradesh on Saturday stressed the fact that India and Hindus cannot be separated. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief further added that there is no India without Hindus and there are no Hindus without India.
"There is no India without Hindus and no Hindus without India," Mr Bhagwat said in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior.
"India stood on its own. This is the essence of Hindutva. For this reason, India is the nation of Hindus," he added.
Talking about India’s partition, Mr Bhagwat said that after the partition, India broke off and Pakistan was formed, stating that it happened because people forgot the idea that they all are Hindus.
“The Muslims there also forgot this. First the strength of those who consider themselves to be Hindus decreased, then their numbers decreased. That is why, Pakistan was no longer India,” he added.

Further, he said that the number of Hindu is decreasing. "You will see that the number and strength of Hindus have decreased...or the emotion of Hindutva has decreased....If Hindus want to stay as Hindu then Bharat needs to become ''Akand''," he commented.
While addressing a book launch ceremony on Thursday, the RSS chief had said that the only solution to the pain of Partition rests in undoing.
"India''s suffering at the time of partition should not be forgotten. It will go away when the partition of India is undone."
“If we want to become a strong nation and contribute in the world’s welfare, the Hindu society will have to become capable. Bharat ke vibhajan ki peeda ka samadhan, vibhajan ko nirast karne mein hi hai (the solution to the pain of Partition is in undoing it),” Mr Bhagwat was quoted by RSS as saying at Noida.

In the statement, RSS has mentioned Mr Bhagwat saying that this is India of 2021 and not of 1947, thus, a partition will not happen again. Further asking everyone to read and accept history. He also said that Indian ideology is about taking everyone along and not claiming who is right and proving others wrong.
“Contrary to this, the thought process of Islamic extremists is to prove others wrong and claim themselves to be right. This was the main reason for struggle in the past,” he added.
