Virat Kohli on Saturday announced that he is hanging his boots in T20 International Cricket after Team India won the T20 World Cup 2024. Virat Kohli was adjudged Man of the Match for his fighting 76 runs knocking off just 56 balls with the help of six boundaries and two sixes. Virat Kohli's retirement announcement sent shockwaves around the world, especially to the people present in the stadium. Below is what Virat Kohli said during the presentation- 

" This was my last T20 World Cup, this is exactly what we wanted to achieve. One day you feel like you can't get a run and this happens, God is great. Coming back to the match, in the last over South Africa needed 16 runs with David Miller and Keshav Maharaj in the middle. However, Hardik Pandya dismissed the dangerous David Miller on the first ball of the last over. Suryakumar Yadav pulled out one of the greatest catches in World Cup history. Ultimately it was Hardik Pandya's spell in the last that not only brought India back into the match but also dismissed the dangerous Miller. In the end, South Africa needed 9 runs off the final delivery.
