In a massive development, an encounter between gangsters and Ludhiana Police took place on Wednesday in the Sambhav Jain kidnapping case. For the unversed, textile businessman Sambhav Jain was kidnapped in Ludhiana when he was en route to his home on November 17, 2023. Sambhav was thrown at the highway by the kidnappers after Police set up a trap to nab the miscreants involved. The kidnappers had shot Sambhav in his leg and fled away in his car.
Taking swift action in Ludhiana businessman Sambhav Jain's case, an encounter took place. In the encounter, two kidnappers were reportedly shot dead in retaliatory firing and one ASI was injured. The deceased gangsters have been identified as Sanjeev alias Sanju Brahmin and Shubham Gopi. As per reports, the encounter took place at 5.50 pm near Doraha in Ludhiana. Acting on intelligence, Ludhiana Police Commissioner Kuldeep Chahal reportedly reached the spot.
As per Chahal, the gangsters were wanted in the case of businessman Sambhav Jain. 5 people have been arrested in this case. On Wednesday, the CIA team was chasing Sanju and Gopi. Both of them were shot in the cross firing and an ASI was also shot.
Ludhiana Police Commissioner Kuldeep Chahal interacting with the media said, "The Police had identified a total of 7 accused in the case. 5 of them were already arrested. Two were remaining. Inspector Kulwant Singh's team chased the remaining two gangsters and tried to nab them. However, in the cross-firing ASI Sukhjit Singh got injured and he is currently undergoing treatment. Our team was chasing them for a long time. The business community was not happy with the kidnapping case as well."

Sambhav Jain Kidnapping Case
Sambhav was kidnapped from outside his factory in Ludhiana. After kidnapping the Ludhiana businessman the miscreants demanded ransom from the family. Thereafter, the family informed the police about this. When the miscreants came to know that the police had set a trap to catch them, they shot the businessman and threw him near Vishwakarma Chowk.
Following this, the kidnappers fled from the spot in Sambhav's car. Notably, the bullet hit Sambhav's thigh. Currently, he has been admitted to DMC Hospital. The businessman's factory is on Noorwala Road. Notably, after shooting Sambhav in his thigh, the miscreants took him around the city for 3 hours. The kidnappers then forced the businessman call to his wife Soumya Jain.
As per reports, businessman Tarun Jain Bawa informed that the miscreants told Sambhav Jain to tell his wife at home that an income tax raid was going to be conducted on his house. Therefore, send a man with a bag full of gold and money kept in the house to Jalandhar Bypass.
When Soumya arrived at the spot with another man, Sambhav Jain called and asked to send back the person who had come with her in the car. As a result, Soumya sensed that something was wrong and thereafter she informed the Police. The Police then set a trap to nab the kidnappers. This information reached the kidnappers. Hence, the kidnappers shot Sambhav in the thigh and threw him near Vishwakarma Chowk. However, the unidentified men fled the scene in Sambhav's car.
