New Delhi: In the upcoming days, the election to Vidisha parliamentary seat along with a few others in Madhya Pradesh could turn more exciting. Finally, it seems as if BJP has admitted the fact that ace parliamentarian and current External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will not contest from the seat.
The issue came up on Friday night when BJP Chief Election Commission and state core group held a meet once again, with state leaders requesting Ms Swaraj to contest.
Last year as well, the External Affairs Minister had announced that she will not contest the polls because of health problems. However, she ensured that not contesting does not mean retirement from politics. A party source said, "Now, that Sushmaji is not contesting finally, we have to look for a suitable candidate from Vidisha.”
