Jalandhar Commissioner Swapan Sharma informs that the situation regarding the truck drivers’ protest has settled down in the city and no demonstrations will be held at Rama Mandi in Jalandhar. The Commissioner reached the spot of the possible protest in Rama Mandi to control the situation and ensure that law and order is maintained.
Police presence was witnessed at the Rama Mandi chowk after it was rumoured that the Chowk, one of Jalandhar’s main traffic hotspots will be closed due to demonstrations by fuel truck drivers. Jalandhar Commissioner Swapan Sharma promptly reached the area to tranquilize any disturbances and assures commuters that no hindrances to traffic will be experienced. The chowk will remain open throughout the day.
