The rate of unemployment is high in India and every government that comes to power promises to tackle it. The Modi government also promised to provide jobs but has the promise been fulfilled?
Rahul Gandhi has recently tweeted through his handle that the Modi Government has failed to employ the youth of India.
Reportedly, there has been a decline in the number of candidates selected for government jobs from the year 2014-15.
A startling fact that has come to the notice is that a total of 22.05 crore applications have been received from 2014-2021 out of which, till now only 7.22 lakh are recommended for employment in government jobs. Aman Sharma of Shastri Nagar says, “After the elections, I was waiting for ache din to come, but I applied for the government job 8 years ago and still haven’t got any.”
