Covid-19 jabs play an important in keeping citizens safe from the coronavirus. But, some people are afraid of vaccination as after vaccination our body shows similar symptoms as Covid-19 like fever, body pain and others.
But here are some of the dos and don’ts suggested by experts which would help our body to fight against the symptoms.
Recently, nutritionist Lovneet Batra has shared some tips, she suggested, “Getting vaccinated is an important step towards fighting the coronavirus pandemic. The coronavirus vaccine rollout has begun for people above the age of 18 years. While getting vaccinated, it is essential to follow all the necessary precautions to prevent contracting the virus.”

Have a look at the healthy tips:
1.) Get enough sleep: When we sleep, our body undergoes a series of changes that are vital to our overall health. Sleep allows the body to recover and provides better physical and mental performance. Therefore, our body should take adequate sleep at night before getting vaccinated.
2.) Drinking an adequate amount of water: Staying hydrated is very important for our body. Every tissue and cell of our body uses water to help with temperature regulations. Water also behaves like a cushion and lubricant for our joints. Experts suggest that hydration is important pre- and post-vaccination. Dehydrated people may experience more soreness at the site of the vaccination.
3.) Eat healthy food: Home-made food is the healthiest as it is rich in nutrition, safe and clean. The human body digests homemade food easily and one must eat such food which is easy to digest. As per experts, one must eat a diet full of fresh fruits and vegetables and home-cooked food.

4.) Avoid Alcohol: If you drink alcohol on regular basis then you should stop consuming it a few days earlier as an excess of alcohol may dehydrate your body and the same applies to smokers also.
5.) Take minor medication: One may take paracetamol if he/she experiences fever or headache. But, do not take medicines before getting the vaccination.
6.) Exercise: Soothe your arm, you may swing your arm to calm the inflammation. You may also place a cool or wet cloth on the area.

According to current vaccination strategy, Indian citizen above the age of 18 is eligible for vaccination. Indians are getting jabs of three vaccines – two indigenous vaccines, “Covishield” and “Covaxin”, and one foreign vaccine “Sputnik V”. From Monday, the government has allowed on-site registration for citizens, which are aged above 18.
