Explainer: 80% Humans detected with Microplastics in their blood, Risk of Heart-Attack, Kidney failure

Microplastics have been found in the blood of 17 of them. All 22 people included in the research were completely healthy and did not have any kind of disease.

A very surprising case has come to the fore in research conducted in the Netherlands. Scientists have found Microplastics in human blood for the first time.

According to the reports of The Guardian that this has happened for the first time and it is very dangerous.

Regarding research, scientists have told that for this blood samples of 22 healthy people were taken.

Of these, Microplastics have been found in the blood of 17 of them. All 22 people included in the research were completely healthy and did not have any kind of disease. Even after this, when plastic particles came out in the test sample, the scientists were surprised.

PET plastic particles were found in the blood samples of half the people. This plastic is used to make water bottles. At the same time, polystyrene was found in the blood samples of some people, which is used to make food containers etc.

According to the report of a professor in the Netherlands, it is quite shocking because due to pollution it has happened that plastic has started going inside the human body along with breathing.

They go inside like dust particles and after that, they start jamming the body organs from inside. These small pieces of plastic go inside the body and stick to the organs and block it, which can be very dangerous in the future.

Research is still going on how it is affecting our health.

According to scientists, these particles can reach our body in many ways such as through air, water and food.

It can also reach our body through some products such as toothpaste, lip balm and tattoo ink. It will not take long for this plastic to reach our organs through the blood route.

Apart from this study, there may be other types of plastic in the body that have not been detected.

Particles larger than the diameter of the needle used at the time of sampling were not detected in this study.

This study shows that these micro particles have not only left our environment but are now also entering our bodies.

How do Micro plastics harm our bodies?

Humans ingest about 1,04,000 microplastic particles each year. There are several dangers of ingesting microplastics.

Doctor Divesh Goyal says that due to this there can be mainly three types of problems in the body-

1. To make plastic, the chemical Bisphenol-A (BPA) is used, which is found in microplastics. This increases the risk of cancer in the future.

2. Due to the presence of plastic particles in the blood, there may be an increase in blood pressure.

3. Due to microplastics, our liver and kidney can also be damaged.
