Former adult movie actress Mia Khalifa has finally broken her silence on the retaliation of the Indian government and celebrities after her support to the farmers. Mia Khalifa joined the farmer's protest debate after Hollywood pop-star Rihanna on Twitter shared a CNN report and asked why there is no-one discussing farmers' issues going on in India. After Rihanna, teen climate activist Greta Thunberg extended her full support to the farmer's protest and then Mia extended her support to the farmers.
Following that Ministry of External Affairs of India (MEA) issued an official statement and said, "Temptation of sensationalist social media hashtags and comments, especially when resorted to by celebrities and others, is neither accurate nor responsible."
This gave a wake call to the Indian celebrities and most of them joined the #IndiaTogether and #IndiaAgainstPropaganda trends on social media asking the people of India to stand united against external forces. Even many Indians started protesting against Rihanna, Greta, and Mia Khalifa and appealed to not interfere in India's internal matters.
Now, after all, such developments, Mia has yet again extended her support to the farmers. The former adult actress shared some protest pictures against her and others and wrote, "Confirming I have in fact regained consciousness, and would like to thank you for your concern, albeit unnecessary. Still standing with the farmers, though."
