A video is spreading like wildfire on social media with the claims that water coming out of a boring supply is burning pieces of paper in Madhya Pradesh's Pipariya. However, the same water is not burning the hands or bodies if touched by anyone. Pipariya water burning papers video is going viral on both Instagram and X (formerly Twitter). Many social media users are shell shocked after Pipariya water burning paper video.
(I am still not able to understand this sight..Is it a miracle or..Some people are saying that it is a miracle, some people are saying that it is science)"
Another user wrote, " (Translated version) I am hearing this for the first time. Knowledgeable people should take the trouble to give complete information. Any brother who is from this area will know more."
Truth behind water burning paper in Pipariya
Many social media users outlined some irregularities in the viral video. A user pointed out that the person holding the paper kept a matchstick in his hand. However, the video maker deliberately hid it. True Scoop tried to verify this and it indeed found a matchstick-like object in the youth's hand.
Notably, social media users also tried to come up with scientific explanations. A user wrote, "Paper can appear to burn with water if the water is mixed with certain chemicals that react with the paper. One example is using chemicals like potassium or sodium compounds that are water-reactive. When these chemicals come into contact with water, they produce heat and hydrogen gas. If the paper is coated or treated with such chemicals, the heat generated by the reaction could ignite the paper, making it appear to burn with water. However, water by itself doesn't cause paper to burn—it actually extinguishes flames in normal conditions."
One more user wrote, "Sodium powder lga hoga paper pe"
Another user wrote on X, "Yes brother Pipariya is before Itarsi. Pachmarhi is beyond Pipariya. I think there must be some gas inside the ground. This is the reason why this is happening. Only geologists can tell about this. Why is this happening."
