Recently, multiple social media platforms have been claiming that Tesla is all set to launch a revolutionary smartphone with extraordinary features often referred to as the Tesla Pi phone.
According to these rumors, the phone is will be launched by the end of the year and will also feature some groundbreaking technology. The post claimed that these phones launched by Elon Musk will have a battery that never needs charging, internet connection via Starlink and compatibility with earth, moon, and mars.
The viral social media post read, “Tesla Pi phone will be launched on the market at the end of 2024. Pi phone has 3 outstanding features that other smartphones do not have
1. No need to charge the battery, because it uses solar energy, only needs light to automatically charge (no need to expose to sunlight).
2. No need for internet capacity, because Pi connects directly to Elon Musk's Starlink, which has a global coverage network.
3. Has Earth-Moon-Mars connection.”
The Truth behind Elon Musk’s Tesla Pi phone:
This viral claim of Tesla Pi phone with extraordinary features such as a battery that doesn’t need to be charged, Starlink internet connectivity, and compatibility with Earth, Moon, and Mars is not supported by any reliable and trustworthy evidence. Elon Musk has also spoke about it and has cleared the rumours.
Recently, on 18th October, Elon Musk has addressed these rumours during a town hall interview in Philadelphia and stated that it is not true and he is not working on the idea of making a phone.
He said, “Man, I sure hope we don't have to make a phone. That's a lot of work. The idea of making a phone makes me want to die. But if we have to make a phone, we will, but we will aspire not to make a phone. You know, I do think that the various companies, Apple and Google, Android and whatnot, they need to make sure they don't have a heavy hand in the app store, or they will create a forcing function for there to be a competitor. But man, I dread the idea of making a phone. But if that turns out to be necessary, we'll do it, but hopefully, it is not necessary.”
