Pakistanis on social media on Thursday went berserk after multiple videos surfaced with the claims that Gayatri Mantra was recited during Pakistan's PM oath-taking ceremony. The old video was shared on X suggesting that the Gayatri Mantra, a Hindu prayer, was recited during the swearing-in ceremony of Pakistan's Prime Minister. In the viral video, Nawaz Sharif was seen in the video. However, it was claimed that the Gayatri mantra was recited during the recent Shehbaz Sharif's oath-taking ceremony.

Although the Gayatri Mantra was indeed recited in Pakistan but it was during a Holi celebration, not a political inauguration. Infact, BBC Hindi also featured a video report on its official YouTube channel, shedding light on the singer's identity and the context behind her performance. The singer in the video was Narodha Malni.
