Kangana Ranaut won the Lok Sabha elections 2024 from Mandi Lok Sabha seat of Himachal Pradesh. After this, she was going from Chandigarh to Delhi on 6th June. During a security check at the airport, a CISF woman constable slapped her causing major controversy. A video of the CISF woman constable, Kulwinder Kaur, went viral in which she could be heard saying that , 'Kangana had said that people are sitting in the farmers' movement for the sake of Rs 100 each. When she made this statement, my mother was also sitting there.”
Following the Kangana Ranaut slapgate incident, a picture is now going viral on social media where a handprint is visible on her cheek, seemingly from the “vicious” slap. It is being claimed that this photo is of Kangana Ranaut's cheek after being slapped. Many users trolled the actress turned politician by sharing this photo.
A verified user named Bharat shared the photo and wrote - Who hits like this? I strongly condemn this. One hand changed the situation.
Another user was more vicious with his mockery saying - "After the slap, the reporter asked Kangana when the country got independence, you will not believe it, this time Kangana said 1947"
Is the photo real or fake?
The answer is no. The picture is fake. To know the truth about the viral photo, we reverse searched it on Google. In the search results, we found this photo along with information on a website named 'adsoftheworld'.
According to the website, this photo is of an ad shoot for a spray that kills mosquitoes and flies. The company had published this ad campaign in the name of Slap Two on 30 May 2006. This ad was shot by a Delhi-based company named Dubs Agency.
It is clear that the claim being made with the viral photo on social media is completely wrong. This photo is from an ad shoot, which is being shared as Kangana Ranaut's face.
