A news is doing rounds on the social media platforms saying Night Curfew timings in Punjab have been changed in view of the recent surge. The new timings are said to be from 7pm to 5am.
Meanwhile when TrueScoop News approached the concerned authorities to know if the information is true, they denied the news and termed it ‘Fake’. ‘There is no change in the night curfew timings in the state. The timings as ordered by CM Punjab are 9pm to 5am’, they said.
They further informed that the recent orders of night curfew timings are applicable till March 31. The Government is reviewing the situation and further orders will be taken close to or after March 31.
In addition, the Museums in Punjab are also closed till April 10 on account of rising covid cases. The authorities concerned also appealed to the public to not to believe on any such fake news and do confirm the authenticity of such news on government portals or reliable news channels.
They also asked the public to follow the covid norms and maintain social distancing among other orders.
