While Team India started their New Year on a high after defeating Sri Lanka in a thriller, the debate on the approach of the Men In Blue continues to be burning on social media. Many fans have suggested that BCCI should select Prithvi Shaw in Team India's T20 format, but he remains to be out of contention despite multiple injuries in the camp. Now, Aaj Tak Sports Journalist Vikrant Gupta's video has gone viral on social media and fans are slamming him for hinting that Prithvi Shaw is going through an alleged drinking problem 'Vinod Kambli' way and it is among the major reasons why the BCCI is over-looking the 23-year-old cricketer.
In the old viral video, Vikrant can be seen addressing a talk show in which Roger Binny (current BCCI Chief) can also be seen. In the video, Vikrant was asked about Prithvi Shaw on which he said that he agrees that the Delhi Capitals cricketer is a gun player but there are things going on with him that he cannot discuss on the public platform. Furthermore, he went on to say that Shaw has been asked multiple times to stop it, but it remains the same with him. Following that, a voice can be heard saying that Prithvi Shaw is walking on the steps of former cricketer Vinod Kambli. For the unversed, Vinod Kambli went through drinking problems during his cricketing career. Not only this, a few years back, Kambli was arrested by the Mumbai Police for allegedly ramming his car into the gate of a residential society in Bandra. He was reportedly found under the influence of alcohol.
