The Lok Sabha elections 2024 are just around the corner. Hence the politicians are hard at work pushing their election campaigns in order to secure votes. Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) candidate for Faridkot Lok Sabha seat, actor and singer Karamjit Anmol, was in Kot Kapura today for his election campaign. There he faced protests by the Mandi commission agents, who surrounded him with allegations against the Kot Kapura Mandi Commission’s president.
As per reports, the agents made allegations that their license to sell wheat were cancelled by the Mandi president due to their “unacceptable” moisture content. They said that the moisture content in their wheat was 11%-14% due to which their licenses were cancelled. However, there were agents with moisture content more than 20%, who still had their license.
In response to the allegations, Karamjit tried to calm the protestors saying that the matter will be discussed and changes will be made.
