Punjab farmers on November 21 would meet CM Capt Amarinder Singh to review the situation of the 'rail roko' movement across the state. It has been nearly two months that trains are not on ply due to farmers' protest against the Centre's 'black' farm laws, which has led to an economic blockade of Punjab.
According to the report of The Tribune, the 30 farmer unions are likely to withdraw the protest and shift it to outside residences of BJP leaders and businesses run by big corporate houses.
Though, in the meeting today a final decision in this regard is expected to be taken on mutual consent.
CM Capt Amarinder has already asked the protesting farmers to vacate all railway property so that train services to and from the state can be resumed.

Notably, of 30 farmer unions that are protesting against the black farm laws, as many as 14 organizations had expressed their opinion to vacate all railway property in a meeting held on Wednesday.
These unions are not just being pressurized by the Centre and state government, but also by the industry to change the tack of their protest so the economic blockade can be lifted. Earlier, the Centre has refused to resume train services till all railway property was vacated by the protesters. Presently, farmers are sitting in protest on railway land, other than tracks and platforms.
It has been said by some of the farmer union leaders that they are ready to vacate the railway land immediately so train services can be resumed but others say the locations should be changed only after November 26 — when the unions March towards Delhi.
