Farmers' protest in India is turning to be volatile in nature as people who are not speaking on farmers' protest or on the farm bills are considered to be anti-farmers and supporters of the controversial farm bills. Another example of the same was seen in Punjab when farmers forced the shooting of Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor to halt.
Going by the various media reports, Janhvi Kapoor is shooting for her movie Good Luck Jerry in Patiala. A group of farmers protested outside the shoot location and started chanting slogans like ‘Janhvi Kapoor go back’. The entire team and Janhvi faced chaos, despite the actress earlier posted in favor of farmers. When the protest became too aggressive, the team had no option but to wrap up the shoot earlier than expected. The protests even sat on dharna outside Janhvi Kapoor’s hotel and the police had to intervene to avoid any casualties.

The incident took place near the Civil Lines area on Saturday when protesting farmers opposed the filming of the movie. However, this is not the first time Janhvi Kapoor had to face such a situation. Earlier this month, the shooting of Good Lucky Jerry had briefly come to a halt at Bassi Pathana in Fatehgarh Sahib after a group of farmers had insisted that Janhvi make a comment on the ongoing farmers’ protest.
Good Luck Jerry is the remake of a south film Kolamavu Kokila where Janhvi will be seen playing the role of a simple girl.
